I started this blog because, like many of you, I live and breathe sports. Whether it’s a game-winning shot, a double-doink, a hole-in-one or one of the incredible moments that brings us all to our feet. Sports have a way of bringing people together like nothing else. This blog is my outlet to share that passion—I’m hoping to inform, entertain, and maybe even start a few debates. But more than that, my goal is to build a community where we can celebrate our love for the game, share stories, and talk some s*** together. So, grab a beer (if you’re of age), turn the TV on, join the conversation, and let’s talk some sports.
A little about me, I’m from the Midwest (or as some of us call it, the midBest) seriously no one says this. It’s cold as balls in the winter, flat with no scenery and boring…so what do we do? You guessed it, golf and watch sports. I have a knack for giving my money to SportsBooks, I’m a golf addict (although I don’t really understand what I’m doing out there), and occasionally enjoy a nice trip to see new or old places.
I really wanted to start this because, like many others, I spend 80+ hours every two weeks at work and rarely start new things for myself. This is that new thing for me. I started thinking about starting a sports blog revolving around my peak interests a few months ago, and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Now, I’m not one to say that this is the next best innovative sports blog that will turn into a titan of a brand like Barstool. I may be dumb, but I definitely ain’t stupid. No, I just want to have an outlet where I can come home from my day job and sink my teeth into something I’m truly passionate about. I mean, I spend endless hours watching, playing and conversing about sports anyways….so why not try something new?
In this blog I’m going to talk about some of my personal interests, passions and anything I find interesting. I’m hoping to start some conversations, talk to some new people and who knows, maybe I’ll do this more for profit someday. I don’t know much, but I do understand that we’ve all been put on this planet and are striving to find something that makes us happy. If, at the end of the day, you hate what you’re reading…move on. I’m doing this in hopes that I share the same sentiment as some of you, or maybe start some friendly banter with those who disagree with me. Either way, thank you for reading!
